The pictures above & below show the extensive termite damage done to this church. The pulpit and canopy are historical pieces within this church and they have asked us to refurbish the pieces. This piece was a bit troublesome to get down, but we were able to safely remove it from the church. The top of the canopy reaches about 25 feet off of the ground. After we got the piece down, it was sent off to be stripped. Once the stripping process is complete we are able to make repairs, sand, and apply stain. After the stain dries we will begin applying the gold leaf. The last step after the gold leafing is complete is the reinstall.
The pictures below show the extent of the termite damages on the pulpit base. The pictures also show the repairs made to secure the stability of the base.
